Prof S.C. Bagri
Designation
Prof S.C. Bagri carries 41 years of teaching, research and administrative experience and started his career from 1980 as a Lecturer at HNB Garhwal University. Prior to this he obtained Master Degree from Allahabad University in 1976, M/Phil in 1978, Doctoral Degree in 1988 and one year advance course in cultural Tourism form Italy in 1989. He was elevated to the post of professor at Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel management, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in 1995. He was the Vice Chancellor of Himgiri Zee University Dehradun from 2012 to 2015 an has published more than 60 research papers and 8 books besides his publication on” Entrepreneurship Development in Tourism and Hospitality Management published by IGI Global, New York in November 2022 and one another Editorial work on Himalayan Mountain Adventure Tourism published by Apple publication, London . He was the Editor in Chief of Journal of Tourism listed in UGC care list till 2020..He had also held the position of consultant of United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Madrid for a year duration and was one of the members UNWTO team developed the Tourism Master plan of Punjab as well as the Coastal Tourism Development Plan of West Bengal state in 2007-08. Dr Bagri was also the team leader of a research project on “Off Beat Tourism Destinations for Ecotourism promotion in Uttarakhand State sponsored by GTZ Germany. He had also completed more than a dozen of major research projects funded by UGC, AICTE, ICSSR, Department of Environment, Govt. of India, and Agricultural Finance Corporation besides supervising more than 25 Doctoral Scholars. He was the Coordinator of the Cost Effective and Eco - friendly Tourism in the Himalayan States, under the supervision of the NITI Aayog, Govt of India in 2020..He is in the panel of NAAC, Govt of India and University Grants Commission of India for the accreditation and approval of Indian universities and Colleges and was the chairpersons of NAAC Peer team in more than 45 PG Colleges of India for the accreditations and was also the member of UGC team in more than a dozen universities applied for the UGC approval under UGC act 2(f) and 12 (b). From 2021 to 2024 he was the member of Indian Commission for Education for UNESCO. At present Emerald publication gave him the responsibility to write a book on Climate Change and Human and Wild life conflicts in the Himalaya expected to relase in December 2025.

Monisha Datta
MD Doon Girls School
Born into the family of scientist, educationist and defence service professionals, she has always been encouraged to dream of the impossible and then to make it happen.
She started her career as a software developer and corporate trainer after completing her Masters (Computer Science) and later did an MBA in Advertising.
She has been the co-founder of The Doon Girls School and Dehradun Boys School and currently heading the school as the Director (Strategic, Planning and Training) and Life skills coach. She has also been the Country Head at the Learning Forward India Foundation from 2021 to August 2024 and had been regularly conducting workshops for teachers and head of schools. She is actively involved in designing child-centric curriculum and pedagogies along with training the teachers to meet the demands of tomorrow. Her current areas of work involve understating the global education systems and in devising curriculum and pedagogies for early childhood education and young adults, based on global requirements and diverse needs. Besides this she is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences and is actively involved in projects to do with mental health in youngsters and young adults. She conducts regular classes for the students of Diploma program at Raphael Ryder Chesire Home, Dehradun. She is a trained vocalist, painter and novice equestrian, a passionate wildlife enthusiast, nature lover, avid reader and trekker. ‘You learn till you die’, is her philosophy and driving force which has lead her to undergo an intense educators’ leadership degree from IIM-Calcutta post Covid and is currently undergoing her MSc in Behaviourial Science and Family Therapy.
